Life has always been passing very creatively in “Kantele”. And new programmes have been produced all the time.
Today most artists in our ensemble are under the age of 30. They are young, talented, artistic and adventurous. Such people are often called – “our future”. Together with them the new comprehension of old traditions came to the ensemble. The folk songs, dances and instrumental melodies of Karelian people turn out to be up-to-date, necessary and close to the people of a new millennium. That’s why each new programme of the ensemble is our way to the future.
